The sensation called Dubai

Ever since I was a child, I had dreamed of traveling abroad and exploring another country. Maybe it's because I hadn't had the opportunity yet, or perhaps my curiosity to learn about different places was just too strong.

Standing in a high-rise building in Dubai, I was spellbound by the ultra-modern infrastructure - a stunning testament to innovation and ambition. The sights and sounds of this city create an intoxicating atmosphere, elevating your spirit and leaving you in awe of the extraordinary world that Dubai has crafted.

At the Desert Safari, I enjoyed racing over sand dunes and watching traditional dance performances. The meal that followed was a wonderful introduction to the local tastes. This is where I tried Falafel for the first time and was blown away!

Souk Madinat Jumeirah blends elements of ancient and modern culture. This architectural masterpiece recreates the charm of a traditional Arabian marketplace with its wind-tower architecture and warm terracotta walls. The indoor souks are lined with boutiques and cafes, while the outdoor terraces open onto waterways where abras glide past. The earthy facades, intricate balconies and mashrabiya screens transport you to old Dubai while offering all the sophistication of the new. Shopping becomes an experience as you drift between climate-controlled corridors and breezy waterside promenades, with the iconic Burj Al Arab standing in the distance. That's the hallmark of Dubai – authentic in spirit, luxurious in execution.

From scorching desert heat to fresh snow in a span of few minutes - Ski Dubai defies the geography and climate, creating a winter wonderland inside the Mall of the Emirates. The massive indoor slope stretches before you, blanketed in real snow that crunches underfoot while outside temperatures soar past 40°C. The engineering marvel keeps a constant -4°C environment where chairlifts carry bundled-up skiers and snowboarders up artificial slopes. It's audacious and brilliant – echoing Dubai's refusal to accept natural limitations.

There are countless vantage points to experience Burj Khalifa. Ascending to the observation deck of the tower is an exhilarating journey. As the elevator climbs rapidly, the anticipation builds, and the panoramic views that await become almost palpable. I stepped out onto the observation deck and was greeted by a breathtaking 360-degree view of Dubai and beyond. From the boat ride, the world's tallest building revealed its true scale, with the tower's reflection shimmering across the water. It pierced the sky, looking like a steel and glass exclamation mark, and the Fountain's choreographed jets created a liquid symphony at its base.

Defying gravity at iFly Dubai - This vertical wind chamber generates winds up to 200 km/h, creating the perfect simulation of freefall that lets you float, spin, and soar in the chamber. Since the tunnel is transparent, it is as entertaining to watch as it is thrilling to participate. Dubai once again proves that if you can imagine it, they can build it!
